Senior opposition leaders, including Nationalist Congress Party supremo Sharad Pawar, Congress’ Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, CPI-M’s Sitaram Yechury, and others, shared the dais to protest against the recent suspension of 146 opposition MPs from Parliament’s Winter Session, which was adjourned sine die on Thursday. The protest, organized under the banner ‘Save Democracy’, aimed to highlight the threat to democracy and the need for a change in government. The opposition leaders expressed their willingness to pay any price to safeguard democracy and called for unity among nationalist organizations. The suspended MPs were also present at the protest, which was followed by a nationwide protest at all district headquarters led by the Congress party.
