Shah Rukh Khan’s film Dunki, released on December 21, has been performing well at the box office. The makers strategically released the movie on a non-holiday Thursday, allowing it time to grow through positive word of mouth. The film made around Rs 25 crore on Saturday and about Rs 30 crore on Sunday. On Monday, it made Rs 22 crore on its fifth day, taking its total collection so far to Rs 128 crore nett in India. This makes Dunki Shah Rukh Khan’s third consecutive film to cross the Rs 100 crore mark over the first weekend.

While the film has been enjoying the benefits of the Christmas holiday, the business may see a significant drop from Tuesday onwards, until the weekend. However, there is a possibility that it remains steady as Christmas holidays have begun in schools and many people have time off until the 31st. The upcoming days and the year-ending weekend will determine the fate of the film.

Overseas, Dunki has already crossed the Rs 200 crore nett mark at the box office in India. It is performing well in international markets as well. Additionally, Salaar: Cease Fire – Part 1 has earned around 42.50 crore in India on its fourth day for all languages.

The box office collection of Dunki on its first Monday has been encouraging due to the Christmas holiday. The film’s performance in the coming days will be crucial in determining its success.
