Recognizing the need for modern amenities and increased visitor capacity, the Tamil Nadu government announced a new arena in Madurai district. The arena, constructed near Alanganallur, offers state-of-the-art facilities for bull tamers and bulls. Additionally, a museum on the premises showcases the history and techniques of the sport. However, there is hesitation among villages to move their events to the new arena, as they consider it against tradition.
