VHP working president Alok Kumar on Tuesday said that people are eagerly waiting to see if Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav attends the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22. Kumar mentioned that the invitation has been sent to Akhilesh Yadav and if he skips the event, it will be seen as a sign that Ram does not want him to be present. The VHP has decided to extend invitations to all presidents of important political parties. This statement from the VHP chief comes a week after Akhilesh Yadav expressed his willingness to attend the ceremony if he is called by the God. The SP party had previously criticized the BJP for using religion for political gains.
