All problems being faced by Goans holding Portuguese passports have been raised by the state government with the Centre, according to Chief Minister Pramod Sawant. Sawant expressed hope for a resolution after being urged by Congress MLA Carlos Alvares Ferreira, former Chief Minister Luizinho Faleiro, and the Goan diaspora to push for dual citizenship for Goans. The CM confirmed that efforts are being made to pursue dual citizenship and other related issues with the Government of India.
