Two quacks, S. Jageer Hussian and N. Farooq Hussian, were arrested on Friday for giving prescriptions and treatment to patients at their medical shops near Arakkonam town in Ranipet. They have been offering medical treatment for a few decades without any professional qualification. A special medical team, formed after several complaints, discovered used medical equipment, prescriptions, and letterheads during a search at their clinic. The team also seized medical equipment, including blood pressure apparatus, stethoscope, and syringes. The accused, who have been repeated offenders, have had previous cases filed against them. This incident follows the arrest of another quack near Ranipet town just a month ago.
