Justine Alexander Madathiparambil has been appointed as the auxiliary bishop of the diocese of Vijayapuram. The Pope made the announcement at Vimalagiri Matha Cathedral during a ceremony led by bishop Sebastian Thekkethecheril. Madathiparambil has served as the vicar general of the Vijayapuram diocese for the past five years. Born in April 1972 in Pampanar, he is the son of Alexander and Theresa. He completed his education at the Infant Jesus minor seminary in Kottayam and Carmelgiri St. Joseph’s Pontifical Seminary in Aluva. He was ordained as a priest in 1996.
