Aerospace majors such as Boeing and Airbus have been urged to consider establishing a “final assembly line” (FAL) in India by the Minister for Civil Aviation, Jyotiraditya Scindia. With India being a significant market for aircraft orders, Scindia believes it is time for manufacturing giants to set up operations in the country. Scindia added that some companies have a top-down approach, while others have a bottom-up approach. In addition, Scindia expressed concerns regarding fleet groundings due to issues with Pratt and Whitney engines.
