In a breakfast meeting at the home of BJP former CM and patron B S Yediyurappa in Bengaluru, the state units of the BJP and JD(S) discussed the seat sharing for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. It was resolved that both parties will constitute coordination committees of their senior leaders to address the disgruntlement at the ground level. The coordination committees will also boost the morale of each other’s cadre, if required. The primary agenda of these committees is to bring unhappy cadres and leaders to the discussion table and ensure they work as per the respective party leadership. The two parties aim to finalize the list of candidates by February-end or early March. The meeting also discussed the Bengaluru teachers constituency bypoll and subsequent MLC elections to six other seats.
