The San Antonio Spurs pulled off a stunning comeback in their game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Despite being down by 15 points, the Spurs managed to erase the deficit and emerge victorious with a score of 113-112. Devin Vassell and Victor Wembanyama were instrumental in the Spurs’ comeback, contributing 25 and 23 points respectively. However, it was Keldon Johnson’s game-winning free throw with 9.2 seconds left on the clock that secured the win for San Antonio.

The Timberwolves had controlled the game in the first half, building a comfortable lead heading into the final period. But the Spurs refused to back down and mounted an impressive comeback. With 8:42 left in the game, Doug McDermott’s clutch 3-pointer gave the Spurs the lead at 93-92. The contest remained tight, with Anthony Edwards of the Timberwolves tying the game at 107 with a jumper from beyond the arc. However, Vassell and Wembanyama responded with key plays that put the Spurs back in control. Edwards once again brought the Timberwolves level at 112, but Johnson’s free throw ensured a victory for San Antonio.

Keldon Johnson had a solid performance off the bench, contributing 14 points to the Spurs’ cause. Jeremy Sochan added 13 points, while Tre Jones recorded a double-double with 12 points and 11 assists. For the Timberwolves, Anthony Edwards led all scorers with 32 points and 12 assists. However, Karl-Anthony Towns missed a last-second step-back 3-pointer that could have won the game for Minnesota.

This win marks the Spurs’ second consecutive victory, following their 116-100 triumph over the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday. It has been a challenging season for San Antonio, and these back-to-back wins represent only the third time they have managed to secure consecutive victories.
