Customised Wedding Jewellery: Personalise Your Love Story

Customised Wedding Jewellery: Personalise Your Love Story
    Uncategorized

From the bride’s kaleeras to jewellery for bridesmaids, this wedding season is all about customisation. Indian weddings are becoming more bespoke than ever before, thanks to brides and grooms opting for personalised trousseaus that include made-to-order outfits and jewellery. Kaleeras, necklaces, and bracelets are getting the most attention as they get crafted with initials and symbols that are meaningful to the wearers.

For their weddings in 2023, Athiya Shetty and Kiara Advani both opted for jewellery that referenced their personal lives. “Couples personalise their wedding jewellery and outfits by adding personal elements that will stay as a memory with them for a lifetime,” says Trupti Lalwani, a wedding planner.

Both Athiya and Kiara personalised kaleeras, and like them, brides are opting for customisations that reflect their love story. Brides dedicate kaleeras to their love story, incorporating little elements about each other and precious moments from their time together. This bespoke journey may include a tribute to a beloved pet, parents’ initials, or grandparents’ pictures as blessings, among other personal touches.

Bridesmaids are also joining in on the trend of personalised jewellery. More and more bridesmaids are going for matching dresses that can be paired with necklaces and bracelets featuring their initials. The goal is to create a memorable and personal wedding experience for the entire bridal party.

In addition to kaleeras, there are various ways to personalise your wedding look. The groom can choose wedding attire with his name embossed or incorporate a motif from the embroidery of the bride’s saree into his sherwani. Accessories such as ties, turbans, or cufflinks can be coordinated with the bride’s outfit. Brides can emboss their own name or their partner’s name on their lehenga, blouse, or dupatta. Some brides even design their lehengas with relationship milestones. For those who want to go sustainable, repurposing mom’s saree or family heirlooms as jewellery is a great option.

The trend of customised wedding jewellery has made Indian weddings more unique and personal. It allows couples to tell their love story and create lasting memories through jewellery and outfits that are truly one-of-a-kind.
