Ever wish you could block annoying contacts right from your lock screen without unlocking your phone? WhatsApp’s latest update empowers you to take control of your inbox by offering a super-convenient blocking feature directly from your lock screen. No more opening the app, navigating chats, or wasting precious time. Follow the below mentioned steps to block contacts on WhatsApp.
On Android:
1. Swipe left on the notification of the message from the unwanted contact on your lock screen.
2. Tap the three dots (…) icon that appears.
3. Select ‘Block’.
4. Optionally, choose ‘Report contact’ if you want to report the sender to WhatsApp.
On iPhone:
1. Tap and hold on the notification of the message from the unwanted contact on your lock screen.
2. Swipe down on the notification and tap ‘View’.
3. Tap the contact’s name at the top of the chat screen.
4. Scroll down and tap ‘Block This Contact’.
5. Tap ‘Block Contact’ again to confirm.
Remember, this feature is only available on devices with updated WhatsApp versions. Make sure you have the latest app version installed before trying it.
