Abu Dhabi witnessed a symbolic ‘Yajna’ for harmony at the BAPS Hindu Temple ahead of its inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The temple, which aims to foster coexistence among different cultures, religions, communities, and countries, holds great significance as the first traditional Hindu temple in the United Arab Emirates.

Brahmaviharidas Swami, Head of BAPS Hindu Mandir, highlighted the purpose of the temple in fostering coexistence among cultures, religions, communities, and countries. He emphasized that the temple’s significance lies in promoting harmony where different cultures and religions can coexist.

Pranav Desai, Director of the BAPS Hindu Mandir, expressed gratitude for the support from both the UAE and Indian leadership in bringing the temple to fruition. He acknowledged the generous gift of 27 acres of land from the UAE leadership.

The cultural milestone of the BAPS Hindu Temple goes beyond its architectural grandeur. It symbolizes the harmonious relationship between Bharat (India) and the Gulf region, reflecting the commitment to cultural understanding and mutual respect between the two nations. Prime Minister Modi’s personal involvement since 2015 demonstrates this shared commitment.

During his visit to the UAE on February 13-14, PM Modi will inaugurate the BAPS Hindu Temple, marking a significant moment in promoting cultural understanding and friendship between the two countries.
