Nirmala Singh, a Sub-Inspector in the Delhi Police, has showcased remarkable determination and ambition by successfully qualifying for the prestigious Delhi Judicial Services (DJS) examination while balancing her full-time duties within the police force. Despite the demanding nature of her role as a Sub-Inspector, she pursued a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from Delhi University, attending classes in the evenings after long and arduous days of work in high crime rate police stations. Her commitment to her education paid off as she graduated with flying colors, securing a first division in her LL.B degree. Singh becomes only the third known member of the Delhi Police to qualify for the esteemed Delhi Judicial Services while actively serving in the force.
