The Central Railway, Mumbai division will operate a megablock on its suburban sections today to carry out various engineering and maintenance works. The block will affect the Thane-Kalyan Up and Down Fast lines, where the rail block will be in place from 10:40 am to 3:40 pm. During this time, Up Fast/Semi-fast services departing from Kalyan between 10:28 am and 03:25 pm will be diverted to the Up Slow line between Kalyan and Thane stations. They will halt at Diva, Mumbra, and Kalwa stations in addition to their regular halts. After Mulund station, they will be re-diverted to the Up Fast line and will arrive at their destinations ten minutes later than their scheduled arrival time. Down Mail/Express trains departing from CSMT/Dadar will be diverted to the 5th line between Thane and Kalyan stations. Similarly, Up Mail/Express trains arriving at CSMT/Dadar will be diverted to the 6th line between Kalyan and Thane/Vikhroli stations.
On the Harbour line, the block will be on the CSMT Mumbai-Chunabhatti/Bandra Down Harbour line from 11:40 am to 4:40 pm and Chunabhatti/Bandra-CSMT Mumbai Up Harbour line from 11:10 am to 4:10 pm.
Despite the megablock, special services will run between Panvel and Kurla (Platform No. 8) every 20 minutes. Harbour line passengers are also permitted to travel via the Main Line and Western Railway until 6 pm today. Commuters are advised to plan their journeys accordingly.
