Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Prime Minister Narendra Modi of attempting to undermine the Gandhi-Nehru ideology. Chennithala made these remarks during a state level training camp in Lonavala, Maharashtra. He emphasized the importance of unity and discipline within the Congress. State unit chief Nana Patole claimed that Maharashtra can prevent Modi from retaining power. Former chief minister Prithviraj Chavan criticized the economic policies of the Modi government and highlighted the slower pace of economic growth compared to the previous government. The party leaders focused on the need to combat commercial politics and work towards the common goal of removing the BJP and Narendra Modi from power.
