Three children tragically lost their lives in Seraikela-Kharswan district, Jharkhand, when their mother, identified as Puja Mahato, jumped into a well along with them. The incident occurred following a family quarrel between Puja and her husband. The husband had left for Ranchi for work when Puja decided to take this extreme step, resulting in the deaths of her three minors – Komal Kumari, Ananya Mahato, and Aryan Mahato. Villagers rescued Puja and took her to a community health centre, while the police recovered the bodies of the children. Puja’s husband, upon learning about the incident, rushed back, and the bodies were sent for post-mortem examinations. The cause of the family quarrel and the exact circumstances leading to this tragic incident are under investigation.
