Farmers protesting against the new farm laws have rejected the proposals put forward by the Centre. They plan to break the barricades at the Shambhu border as a mark of their dissent. The farmers have been gathering sand-filled sacks to clear the hurdles placed by the authorities. In the midst of the protest, Haryana police Exemptee Sub-Inspector Kaushal Kumar passed away, adding to the tension. Meanwhile, the Sanyukt Kisan Morcha and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha have declared a peaceful march towards Delhi to voice their demands. However, the police resorted to using tear gas, rubber bullets, and even dyed water to disperse the protestors. The situation remains tense as the farmers continue their agitation.
