Customs officers at Chennai airport made a significant seizure when they confiscated 14 kg of hydroponic ganja worth Rs 7 crore. The officials received a tip-off about the smuggling of narcotics substances through a Thai Airways flight from Bangkok. They tightened security at the international arrival terminal and identified a suspicious bag. However, the passenger who left the bag managed to flee the airport before the bag could be claimed. The bag was opened and found to contain hydroponic ganja, a high-value variant of marijuana. The investigation is underway to apprehend the culprit responsible for the smuggling.
