Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched its flagship programme ‘Praja Poru’ in Andhra Pradesh on Friday. The program aims to highlight the ruling YSR Congress Party’s governance and create awareness about the Central Government’s projects that have benefitted the state’s people. S. Muni Subramanyam, BJP’s State secretary and ‘Praja Poru’ convener for the Tirupati parliamentary constituency, announced the initiative. Two vehicles were flagged off in Tirupati and two more in Satyavedu for the Tirupati LS constituency. These vehicles will tour remote areas in all seven Assembly segments to spread awareness about the welfare schemes of the Central Government. Mr. Subramanyam criticized the State Government, stating that it is insensitive to the common man but is ready to claim undue credit for schemes sponsored by the Government of India. BJP spokespersons, leaders, and Morcha representatives also participated in the programme.
