A 24-year-old woman named Kiran is fighting for her life in the intensive care unit of a private hospital in Bareilly. She sustained severe abdominal injuries allegedly inflicted by her husband. According to police, Kiran was violently kicked in the abdomen, resulting in a rupture in her intestines. The victim’s brother lodged a complaint, stating that Kiran has been subjected to severe abuse by her husband and in-laws, who demanded a dowry of Rs 2 lakh and a luxury car. Charges have been filed against the husband and eight other family members under various sections of the Indian Penal Code. The accused will be arrested soon.
