Chief Secretary A. Santhi Kumari has asserted that the Telangana government will deal strictly with individuals involved in irregularities during the ongoing Intermediate examinations, regardless of their position. The government is determined not to allow any activities that could impact the future of lakhs of students. In Kamareddy district, several teachers attempting to leak the question paper have already been apprehended, and criminal cases have been filed against them. To review the conduct of the Intermediate and class 10 exams, the Chief Secretary conducted a video conference with district collectors, superintendents of police, and other high-ranking officials.

With a total of 9.8 lakh students appearing for the Intermediate first and second-year examinations across 1,521 centres in the state, the government is making elaborate arrangements to ensure transparency and smoothness in the exam process. In order to maintain the integrity of the exams, the use of mobile phones has been prohibited for staff, including senior officials, at the exam centres. District collectors have been instructed to prepare plans accordingly and to regularly review the exam conduct, holding post-exam meetings. Additionally, the government has also urged action against individuals who spread rumours regarding the exam’s conduct on social media platforms.

The government’s focus on maintaining the integrity of exams extends beyond the Intermediate exams, as the class 10 exams are scheduled to begin immediately afterwards. Similar steps are being taken to ensure a smooth and fair conduct of these exams as well. The video conference was attended by DGP Ravi Gupta and other senior officials who are actively participating in this effort.
