Former Gujarat Congress president and three-time MLA, Arjun Modhwadia, has joined the BJP without any expectation and with the sole aim of strengthening PM Narendra Modi’s resolve to make India a prosperous nation. Modhwadia emphasized that BJP, with its massive majority in the Gujarat assembly, has no compulsion in winning over politicians like him. His only goal is to work with full commitment to strengthen the resolve of PM Modi and Amit Shah.
Modhwadia, along with former Gujarat Congress working president Ambarish Der and members from other political parties and social outfits, was welcomed into the BJP by state party president CR Paatil at the state BJP headquarters. Paatil offered them BJP scarfs and caps and stated that they have joined BJP to strengthen Modi’s resolve in making India a developed nation.
When asked about his past criticisms of BJP while he was in Congress, Modhwadia explained that he had worked with full commitment for the Congress party for 40 years. However, he and several other leaders realized that the party had lost contact with citizens. Modhwadia entered politics to bring about a positive change in people’s lives and firmly believes that PM Narendra Modi is striving hard to ensure the well-being of all citizens and make India prosperous.
