B Prasanna Kumar, a 38-year-old man from Urdigere in Tumakuru, was inspired by the notorious Rameshwaram Cafe bomber to carry out a similar crime. On March 12, near Talaghattapura, Kumar robbed a woman of her 44-gram gold chain. He executed the same trick as the bomber by changing his shirt to confuse the police. However, he and his associate forgot that their scooter was captured on 85 CCTV cameras. Consequently, they were apprehended by the police. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of modern surveillance systems in crime prevention and investigation.
