CID announced a reward for credible information on deputy superintendent of police (DySP) Sridhar K Pujar, accused no. 5 in the multi-crore Bitcoin scam in Bengaluru. Pujar, along with other officials, was accused of botching up the initial investigation into the scam. A press note from CID stated that they are seeking to declare Pujar a proclaimed offender. The informant’s details will be kept confidential. Pujar had escaped from police custody and is accused of attempting to murder a cop from the special investigation team (SIT) probing the scam.
