Chandni Bar 2, a sequel to the National Award-winning film Chandni Bar, is set to release in December 2025. The makers of the original film, directed by Madhur Bhandarkar, have announced that Mohan Azad, the screenplay writer of the original, will be directing the sequel. Azad has almost completed the script and will start production by mid-2024 after finalizing the casting and other pre-production processes. No actors have been officially approached for the film yet. The original Chandni Bar, released in 2001, featured Tabu, Atul Kulkarni, Ananya Khare, Rajpal Yadav, and others. Chandni Bar 2 is expected to recreate the success of its predecessor.
