Aiming to breach the southern bastion of Tamil Nadu, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has unleashed its heavy artillery in the Lok Sabha battle. The party has released its list of heavyweight candidates for the upcoming elections. The list includes BJP state chief K Annamalai, former Telangana governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, Union minister L Murugan, BJP legislative party leader Nainar Nagendran, and former Union minister Pon Radhakrishnan. BJP is contesting 19 seats in the state and has named candidates for seven of them. The remaining nominees will be announced later.
