In response, the BJP defended the CBI’s actions, stating that the raids were carried out based on credible information and the law should take its course. They accused the TMC of resorting to baseless allegations and shifting blame instead of cooperating with the investigation. As the political tensions escalate in West Bengal ahead of the elections, such incidents are likely to further intensify the rivalry between the ruling TMC and the opposition BJP.
