Around 25 residents of East Pinni Boyinavari Palem village in Bapatla district fell sick due to diarrhoea, raising concerns about the lack of safe drinking water in the village. Four people working at a chilli harvesting agriculture land complained of diarrhoea symptoms a few days ago, and many villagers have been affected since then. The government has set up a village clinic centre and provided necessary medicines and fluids. Water samples from the village have been sent to a laboratory for testing.
