A labourer named Iddu Mian, aged 55, has reportedly killed his wife and three minor daughters in Bihar’s East Champaran district. The incident took place late on Thursday in Paharpur’s Babariya village. A few years ago, the same man had pushed another daughter to her death from a running train in Uttar Pradesh. He was released from jail in Sitapur, UP, about seven months ago in connection with that case. According to the police, Iddu Mian is currently on the run, and efforts are underway to arrest him. It is believed that an argument led to the murders. Iddu Mian had married twice – his first wife died, and he has two sons from that marriage. He then married Asrina, with whom he had five daughters, of which the eldest is married.
