The Nagaland Cabinet and legislators of the eastern region have urged the Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation (ENPO) to reconsider their decision of not participating in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. ENPO, representing seven Naga tribes of the region, has been demanding a separate state since 2010 due to alleged neglect of the eastern districts of Nagaland. The Cabinet and legislators appealed to ENPO to prioritize democratic principles and ensure wider participation for a brighter and more inclusive future for eastern Nagaland.
