Udhayanidhi Stalin, the DMK candidate for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, addressed a roadshow in Kanniyakumari, Tamil Nadu. He criticized the Union Government for its failure to provide any compensation for the losses suffered by the state due to the cyclone in Chennai and the floods in Thoothukudi and Tirunelveli. Udhayanidhi Stalin stated that the state government had demanded a compensation amount of Rs. 37,000 crore, but the Centre had not provided any funds till now. He urged the people to vote for the DMK and ensure that their demands are met.
