Former deputy CM K.S. Eshwarappa, who is contesting as an independent candidate in the Shivamogga Lok Sabha seat, has countered the demand of the BJP to remove Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s photo from his campaign material. The BJP’s Shivamogga unit has moved the district court objecting to Eshwarappa using Modi’s photo in his campaign. Eshwarappa responded by saying that Modi is in his heart and cannot be removed. He also questioned BJP’s national general secretary Radha Mohan Das for visiting his house if he did not know him. Eshwarappa also criticized the symbols suggested by the Election Commission for independent candidates and mentioned that he will be writing to the Election Commission about this issue.
