A 35-year-old car driver, K. Shankar Ganesh, was fatally beaten during an argument with his friends in Salem. The incident occurred on April 30 when the driver was out drinking with his friends, Navaneethan, Venkatachalam, and Prabhu. The argument escalated and the friends allegedly assaulted Ganesh, causing severe injuries. He was immediately rushed to Salem Government Hospital, but unfortunately, he passed away on Saturday due to his injuries. The Panamarathupatti police have registered a case and the three accused have been arrested and remanded in prison.
