The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has officially announced the schedule for the Review Officer (RO) and Assistant Review Officer (ARO) Mains Examination 2026. On January 31, the first paper on General Studies will be held from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. Then, from 2 pm to 5 pm, a two-part paper will test you on Hindi skills. The first part is a subjective test covering General Hindi and Essay Writing from 2 pm to 4:30 pm. Right after, from 4:30 pm to 5 pm, there will be a quick objective test on General Vocabulary and Grammar. Day two, February 1, is all about the Hindi Essay, running from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. Let’s look at the timeline for the entire process. The notification and application forms were released on October 9, 2023. The application deadline has been extended till November 24, 2023. The prelims admit cards came out on July 17, 2025, and the preliminary exam was conducted on July 27, 2025. Results were declared by September 16, 2025. The prelims saw a massive turnout: 10,76,004 candidates applied and 4,54,589 appeared. Out of them, 7,509 cleared prelims and moved to the mains. These include 6,093 for 338 RO posts, 1,386 for 79 ARO posts, and 30 for 2 ARO (Accounts) posts.
