Palghar police made a big catch! A man named Faiyaz Kader Kazi, also known as Manish Pawaskar, was arrested for pretending to be an income tax (IT) officer. How did he do it? Last month, he and his team acted like real IT officials and raided a house in Mann village. They showed fake ID cards and snatched Rs 55.8 lakh from a cupboard before running away. The victim was shocked and immediately filed a police complaint. Boisar police then jumped into action. They scanned CCTV footage from busy roads like Boisar-Chilhar Road, Mumbai-Ahmedabad National Highway, and Manor-Bhiwandi Highway to catch the fraudster. Police officers said, "He and his associates raided a home in Mann village last month by posing as IT department personnel. Showing fake ID cards, the accused seized Rs 55.8 lakh from a cupboard and fled." Finally, Kazi was caught. He is originally from Rajapur in Ratnagiri district. However, the police are still chasing his accomplices. This case is a loud reminder to always verify official officers carefully before trusting them. Keep your eyes open and stay safe from such clever scams!
