Hyderabad Cyber Police Arrest Two in ₹12.3 Lakh Fake Stock Trading Scam
November 29, 2025
The Cyber Crime Police of Hyderabad arrested two men from Vashi, Navi Mumbai, for a stock trading fraud. A Hyderabad resident lost ₹12.3 lakh to a fake investment scheme. The victims were scammed by individuals pretending to be investment advisers under names like 'Flames Alliance' and 'Munoth Capital Investment Limited'.
The accused are Ravi Kumar Lal, 38, and Shivendra Ashok Singh, 32. "Ravi Kumar Lal operated a bank account by passing on OTPs through an APK file to an associate in Pune who is still absconding," said a police officer. Shivendra Ashok Singh provided mule bank accounts to funnel victims' money.
The victim was approached via WhatsApp by people posing as stock market experts promising high returns. He was sent to a fake trading website. Between August 13 and 28, he transferred money to several accounts after seeing fake profits and small withdrawals. When he deposited more funds, his account access was blocked and the fraudsters disappeared.
Police explained, "One accused supplied bank accounts, another managed operations and phone numbers linked to them. Manipulated profits created trust before withdrawals stopped." The arrested men are connected to multiple similar scams across India.
Officers seized four mobile phones and three cheque books. Victims are urged to call 1930 or use the national cybercrime reporting portal for help.
