Between November 22 and 28, Cyberabad’s Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) arrested 38 sex workers and one transgender person in night raids. The team rescued 11 victims and arrested 14 accused individuals in four cases under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act. In a KPHB case, an accused was sentenced by the Kukatpally Metropolitan Magistrate to three years of rigorous imprisonment and fined ₹300. Meanwhile, Cyberabad She Teams performed 167 decoy operations, detaining 67 people for public indecency. Authorities booked 86 petty cases, while others were counselled. The She Teams also received 22 complaints from women victims via multiple channels. The Centre for Development and Empowerment of Women helped resolve domestic disputes, reuniting 29 couples in the last week. In outreach efforts, AHTU and She Teams held awareness sessions for about 339 participants. Topics included human and child trafficking, social media harassment, child marriages, stalking, cyberbullying, child labour, and begging. They also shared important helpline numbers like Women Helpline 181, Child Helpline 1098, Dial 100, and Cyber Fraud Helpline 1930.
