Mandya district administration officials, including Deputy Commissioner Kumar and Superintendent Mallikarjun Baldandi, teamed up with local MLA P.M. Narendraswamy on Friday to inspect a site in Malavalli. This was done in preparation for President Droupadi Murmu’s proposed visit in December 2025. The inspection focused on a piece of land in front of Shanti College on the Malavalli-Mysuru main road. The team discussed building a well-equipped stage or platform. Public Works Department officials were instructed to work with taluk-level staff to handle construction. Municipal officials were told to arrange proper drinking water and ample parking at the venue. Police officials received directions to prioritize security and follow all necessary protocols during the event. The team also checked private lands and ordered the Public Works Department to find a suitable site for a temporary helipad. A report on this was to be submitted. All officials were urged to take every possible measure to prepare for the President’s visit, ensuring smooth and secure arrangements, the statement said.
