A man in his 20s, from West Bengal, trespassed into the Pangode military camp in the capital on Friday night. Military personnel caught him inside, but it is unclear how he entered since it was not through the main gate. "He was questioned by Military Intelligence and then handed over to the police. He appeared to be of unsound mind," said a Defence source. An officer from Poojappura police station confirmed the man was mentally unsound and only said he was from West Bengal. Police are trying to find out how he came to the state and why he entered the camp. The man is currently in preventive detention, said the officer.
