The body of a teenage girl, estimated to be between 15 to 17 years old, was discovered near a construction site in Kasarwadavali, Thane. The girl's body had a scarf tightly wrapped around her neck, leading the police to believe that she might have been strangled. The police have initiated a murder investigation after filing a First Information Report (FIR) and are looking into the possibility of sexual assault. The local police are working to identify the victim by circulating her photos to other law enforcement agencies and examining missing persons' databases. The authorities are also examining CCTV footage, questioning residents, construction workers, and shopkeepers in the area to gather more information. Additionally, charges of destroying evidence have been included in the case alongside murder charges. The investigation is ongoing, and the police are determined to bring justice for the victim.
