The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) has raised concerns about the exploitation of e-commerce platforms and online payments services for terror financing. In its latest reports, FATF has pointed out the misuse of these digital platforms by terrorists to transfer funds and finance their activities. The ease of online transactions and the ability to remain anonymous have made it convenient for such illicit activities to take place. Governments and regulatory authorities are urged to enhance their monitoring and supervision of these platforms to prevent further abuse for terrorist purposes.
