Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has requested the Finance Minister to disburse the second tranche of aid for Amaravati as a grant. He seeks ₹10,000 crore for the financial year 2025-26 as special assistance for capital investment in the state's capital region. This request was made to strengthen the development of Amaravati, which is the proposed capital city of Andhra Pradesh.
