The Government of India is reviewing retirement benefits for European and British subjects serving in Provincial Services in India. Earl Winterton stated that while there is no general extension planned for retirement rules, individual cases deemed exceptional are being considered. This move aims to align the retirement benefits of these subjects with those in Civil Services. The decision is a result of consultations with local Governments.
