Trump Loads White House TikTok, Puts Ban on Hold Again in a Fiery Social Media Twist!

August 21, 2025

Hold tight, social media fans! President Donald Trump kicked off a sizzling move on Tuesday by starting the official White House TikTok account, @WhiteHouse. This dazzling debut features Trump at sparkling events, paired with dramatic music that hypes up the screen! The video winked at a viral TikTok trend, mixing clips from the movie "Creed" with beats by rapper Kendrick Lamar. This move is a sharp U-turn from Trump’s early days in office when he tried hard to ban TikTok, the Chinese-owned app shaking the social media scene. But guess what? Trump created his personal TikTok account in June 2024 and found a hot fanbase there, racking up views among the app’s younger crowd. Karoline Leavitt, the White House press secretary, said, "President Trump's message dominated TikTok during his presidential campaign. And we're excited to build upon those successes and communicate in a way no other administration has before." Behind the curtains, Trump’s supporters and TikTok’s bosses have teamed up to fight the app’s ban in the US. This ban is rooted in a 2024 law that wants to stop TikTok unless it’s sold by its parent company, ByteDance, because of fears that China could spy or spread propaganda through the app. Interestingly, the ban kicked in during Biden's last days in office, but Trump quickly promised to delay enforcing it. He can grant 90-day extensions if TikTok finds a new, non-Chinese owner, saying this looks promising. He’s already stretched these extensions several times. TikTok must find a new owner by mid-September to avoid going dark. With Trump's new White House TikTok and his delays, it looks like the app’s party in America isn’t over yet. Stay tuned to see if TikTok keeps dancing on Indian screens and American phones!
