The Solapur-CSMT Mumbai Vande Bharat Express train is getting a spectacular upgrade! Central Railway announced that from August 28, 2025, this iconic train will run with 20 coaches, making it bigger and better. This means more seats and a smoother travel experience for passengers traveling between Solapur and Mumbai. Currently, the train runs with fewer coaches. But the Solapur Division listened closely to growing passenger demand and decided to add four extra Chair Car coaches. This adds 312 new seats, increasing total capacity to a whopping 1,440 passengers! Imagine that—a whole crowd of travelers on one train. Train No 22225 (CSMT Mumbai to Solapur) will switch to the new 20-coach setup from August 28, and Train No 22226 (Solapur to CSMT Mumbai) will follow on August 29. The updated train will feature: - Two Executive Chair Cars with 52 seats each for premium comfort - Sixteen Chair Cars with 78 seats each for regular travelers - Two Chair Cars placed near the Loco Pilot and Guard Cabin, each with 44 seats This makes the Solapur-Mumbai Vande Bharat one of the largest Vande Bharat trains running in India right now. Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Yogesh Patil shared: "The Solapur-Mumbai Vande Bharat has emerged as one of the most sought-after services in the region. With the addition of the new coaches, passengers will get better access to premium travel facilities on this iconic train. We appeal to the public to make the most of this upgraded facility and enjoy the enhanced Vande Bharat experience." In short, the new train upgrade will reduce passenger rush, add comfortable seats, and make your journey between these two bustling cities much more pleasant. So mark your calendars—August 28, 2025 is the day the Solapur-Mumbai Vande Bharat turns into a spacious, passenger-friendly express!
