Kerala’s Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan stole the show at the Kerala Aviation Summit, which kicked off with a bang thanks to Cochin International Airport Ltd (CIAL) and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). In a vibrant speech full of hope and vision, the CM urged everyone to make air travel easier and cheaper for the common people by cutting down both travel and operational costs. He said, “Capital costs should also be lowered and travel without time loss must be ensured.” His words struck a chord! He showered praise on airports, especially CIAL, for boosting Kerala’s tourism and making travel a breeze for the global Malayali community. CIAL’s achievements were dazzling — embracing new technology and creating over 30,000 jobs! Pinarayi Vijayan painted a bright future where stronger air transport would attract floods of tourists. He claimed, “Kerala has immense potential to become a civil aviation hub.” In a special moment, the CM also inaugurated the Airport Public Health Office (APHO) Health Centre at CIAL. Minister K. Rajan handed over the keys to S. Senthilnathan, DDG of Health Services, signaling a boost for public health operations at the airport. This summit isn't just talk—it aims high! Its goals include using Kerala’s strong aviation base and investment chance, turning the state into a worldwide aviation center, and strengthening regional aviation and logistics hubs. Plus, it aims to spread the word about digital air travel and the Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) ecosystem. Kerala’s sky is the limit, and this summit marked the perfect take-off!
