Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) woke up to a cool, cloudy morning on Tuesday with gentle rains giving the city a fresh monsoon vibe. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has promised more cloudy skies all day, along with a yellow alert in Gurugram and Faridabad to keep everyone on their toes. Wondering if your flight will be on time? Indigo Airlines suggests you double-check your flight status before leaving. They said, “It is a rainy start in Delhi, with gentle showers expected through the day. Roads may be slower than usual, so if you are flying, do set out early. Our airport teams are on standby to assist.” Monday had its share of fun too! The IMD predicted light rains over northwest, central, and east Delhi in the last two hours, and the city enjoyed 13 mm of rain by 8:30 am. Spots like Kartavya Path, ITO, Lajpat Nagar, Malviya Nagar, Chirag Delhi, and Kalkaji got their rain showers. The pleasant rain kept temperatures comfortable, with highs of 28.6°C and lows of 23.9°C. But don't be fooled—the humidity was sticky at 94%, keeping things a bit sultry despite the rain. Delhi’s air quality was in the “satisfactory” zone with an AQI of 62, which is still okay for outdoor plans, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). What to expect today? The usual monsoon drama! The IMD forecasts thunderstorms and consistent rain with temperatures dancing between 31°C and 22°C. So, as Delhiites slog through wet roads and slower traffic, the rains bring fresh air and that classic monsoon mood swing. Stay prepared and enjoy the showers!
