Acme Solar Holdings Greenlights Rs 3,000 Crore Fund Raise and Reappoints Shashi Shekhar as Vice-Chairman

August 28, 2025

Big news from New Delhi! Acme Solar Holdings' board met on Wednesday and decided to raise a whopping Rs 3,000 crore in multiple stages. How? By issuing equity shares or similar securities, using ways like Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP), further public offers (FPO), or private placements. This money will help them boost their renewable energy projects. But wait, there’s more! The board also gave the green light to re-appoint Shashi Shekhar as Vice-Chairman and Whole-Time Director for one more year, starting April 9, 2026, right after his current term ends. The final thumbs up from company members will come during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on September 29, 2025. If all goes well, this Rs 3,000 crore fund raise will power Acme Solar Holdings’ growth in solar, wind, storage, hybrid, and Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy projects across India. Talk about shining bright in India’s renewable energy future!
