Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a roll, boosting Assam's growth story and shaking up the scene with bold promises! Speaking at a big rally in Darrang, he celebrated Assam’s amazing 13% economic growth rate, calling it the result of the strong teamwork between the people and the BJP's 'double-engine' government. "Our double-engine government is committed to transforming Assam into a hub of connectivity and healthcare excellence," Modi declared, pointing out fresh projects that will boost Assam’s future. He called on India’s youth to dream big, saying, "Our North East has a very significant role in the fulfilment of this resolve... 25 years of the 21st century have passed. Now the next part of the 21st century belongs to the East, to the North East." PM Modi grabbed the mic to fire some sharp words at the Congress party as well. "For decades, Congress governed Assam, yet they constructed only three bridges over the Brahmaputra River in 60 to 65 years. In contrast, when you entrusted us with the opportunity, we built six new bridges in just a single decade," he said. Clearly, he wants people to appreciate BJP’s quick work and keep backing the government! Shining a spotlight on the love for Indian goods, Modi urged everyone to support the Swadeshi movement. "I ask you to promise me that whatever you buy now will be 'Swadeshi'. The definition of Swadeshi is simple for me; the company may have come from any part of the world, but the sweat should be of my country's young soldiers. Whatever will be made in India, it should have the fragrance of my Indian soil," he said passionately. And there’s even great news for shoppers and businesses! Modi revealed that from the first day of Navratri, GST rates will drop big time. This means cheaper cement, insurance, motorcycles, and cars, easing the pinch on people’s wallets.
